The current annual assessment fee for Brookside Colony is $95.
This fee is due on March 15th every year and collected by the Brookside Civic Association (BSCCA) Trustees. There is a ten-day grace period which ends March 25th each year. Checks are to be written to the BSCCA and can be post-dated for March 25th.
The collected fees are used for the continued improvement of our neighborhood in the following ways:

The BSCCA has been informed by legal council that the payment schedule for the annual assessment of $95 and the consequences for not paying this fee assessment should be make known to all Brookside Colony residents, in writing. This information is as follows.
The annual assessment of $95 will be due and payable to the BSCCA by March 15th each year. There is a ten-day grace period which ends March 25th each year.
Checks are to be written to the BSCCA and can be post-dated for March 25th.
Trustees will inform residents within their districts when they will be going door to door to collect the assessment fees. An envelope should be posted on designated trustee doors for convenient drop off of a resident's check. This envelope will remain on the trustee's door until March 15th, after which time the resident is responsible for delivering his assessment fee payment to the BSCCA treasurer by March 25th. Anyone who needs to make special arrangements to have their assessment fee payment picked up can contact his current trustee directly. Trustee names along with their assigned districts are listed above. Addresses and phone numbers are listed in the BSCCA directory.
If the fee assessment payment has not been received by midnight on March 25th, the payment is considered "late" and a $75 late fee and an 18% per annum will be applied to the assessment fee.
$95 assessment fee + $75 late fee = $170 plus an 18% per annum on the unpaid balance due to the BSCCA

Expenses include all those listed in the above section titled "The Assessment Fee." An additional expense covered the costs associated with drafting, recording, and filing the Amended and Restated Covenants and Restrictions in 2002.
Same as specified in "The Assessment Fee" section above. In 2000, the structural insurance was added to insure the new entrance walls against damage.
Same as specified in "The Assessment Fee" section above. In 1999, liability insurance was added for the entrance wall. In accordance with the easement aggreements of 1989, this insurance is for the maintenance area at the brick wall entrance, including planting and mowing along Snouffer Road. All contractors must provide the BSCCA with a copy of their Certificate of Insurance.
Liability insurance was not carried in these years as required by the easement agreements filed in 1989 to maintain the front entrance and Snouffer Road areas.
